Absolom was born on 23 OCT 1835 in New Lebanon, PA, the son of Jacob A. Grove and Catherine Voorhies.

He died on 22 JUN 1864 in Westchester County, New York, NY.

His wife was Ann Margaret Ramsy. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their three known children were Jacob Henry (1858-1921), William H. (1859-1952) and Odessa Gertrude (1861-1945).

Grave is located in section 1D of the "Union Plot" located in Cypress Hills Private Cemetery. The "Union Plot" is on the west side of "Mount of Victory Plot" located and in the south east cornet on Jackie Robinson Parkway & Cypress Hills St. Section 1D is between roads - Union Path on the North and Cypress Way on the south. Absalom's grave marker # is 1235 which is located in third row from the west in section 1DÂ
