His wife was Anna Danzer, who he married in 15 JUN 1869 in Madison, Indiana. Their six known children were Frank (1872-?), Johanne Hermine Marie (Mary) (1873-?), Margaret (1875-?), Clara (1876-?), Veronica (1878-?) and Josepha (1878-?).
