Solomon was born on 10 OCT 1765 in Monmouth County, New Jersey USA, the son of John Sharp and Anne Dooley.

He died on 20 MAR 1845 in Lees Creek, Clinton County, Ohio USA.

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Rachel Masters, who he married in ABT 1787 in Mason, Grant, Kentucky. Their seven known children were Peter (<1788-1840), William M (1790-1860), Mary "Dolly" (1794-1835), Keziah (1795-?), Sarah (>1796-1826), John (1803-1852) and James (c1805-?).

His second wife was Rebecca Stokesberry, who he married on 22 JUL 1813. The place has not been found. Their three known children were Elizabeth S (1814-1814), George W (1815-1825) and Silas W (1818-1885).
