GARLAND GENE HAMILTON

May 4, 1937 ~ December 31, 2017

Garland Gene Hamilton was born May 4, 1937 to Wilson Neal and Meda Vena (Smith) Hamilton at Lookeba, OK.

He passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at his home in Lookeba at the age of 80.

Garland attended Sickles Schools. He was united in marriage to Reta Kluver August 10, 1955 at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Hydro. Garland lived in the Sickles Community all his life, where he farmed and ranched.

Garland enjoyed gunsmithing, woodworking, restoring old tractors, bird watching, photography, antiquing, hunting and fishing, was a great joke and story teller, was an excellent mechanic and could do about anything with his hands, had a brilliant mind, and most of all Garland his grandkids and great nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Oakdale Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Neal and Meda Hamilton, brother, William Neal "Bill" Hamilton, infant brother and son-in-law, Kenny Blood.

Garland is survived by his wife, Reta Hamilton of the home, Lookeba;

Four children, Delbert Hamilton and his wife Donna of Lookeba, Shana Brewer and her husband Paul of Rogers, AR, Jawana House and her husband Randy of Lookeba, and Dennis Hamilton and his wife Pam of Knoxville, TN,

Grandchildren: Daylon Hamilton of Oklahoma City, Shelby Hamilton of Oklahoma City, Barry Blood and his wife Jenni of Garfield, AR, Dana Winn and her husband Dickie of Pea Rodge, AR, J.P. Brewer and his wife Jessica of Rogers, AR, Randel House and his wife Laci of Lookeba, OK, Jennifer Garrett and her husband Christopher of Oklahoma City, Kaden Hamilton and David Logan of Chattanooga, TN, and Boman Hamilton of Knoxville, TN

Great grandchildren: Jackson and Kennedy Blood, Makenley and Kenny Dorsey, Kyle Bahl, Dayton, Dakota, and Drew Winn, Ellie, Layla and baby(on the way) Brewer, Randen, Kodi, and Hazel House, Rylee and Ely Garrett, Leela Logan; brother, Butch Hamilton and his wife Margie of Anadarko;

Sister-in-law, Joye Hamilton of Hydro; and many special nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
