LaDonna Gabbert Coleman, 78, of Amarillo, died Sunday, October 18, 2015.

Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. with Chad Mantooth, pastor at Temple Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart with Rusty Hancock officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

LaDonna was born March 6, 1937 in Turkey, Texas to George and Martille Gabbert. She was the production manager at the Coca Cola Bottling Company in Dalhart. She also owned and operated Thompson Wholesale in Dalhart.

LaDonna enjoyed coaching her daughter’s sports events, dancing, waterskiing, fishing and making crafts.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Roland Coleman and her parents.

She is survived by two daughters, Kim Allwein and husband Jeff, LaJean Ellsasser and husband Kurt; one sister, Barbara Mitchell and husband Jack; two brothers, Derwood Gabbert and wife Betty, Barry Gabbert; one granddaughter, Michelle Greenlee and husband Bryann; one grandson, Austin Hudson; three great granddaughters, Kiana, Kennzie, Gracie Mae; one great grandson, Shaunn; a niece, Mitzi Head and husband Billy; a nephew, Mike Mitchell and wife Lori; step-children, Brenda Combs, Donna King, Kem Coleman; and many other family members that loved her greatly.

The family would like to thank Ruby Slippers Care and Gentiva Hospice for the outstanding care of our mother.
