Richard was born in 1716 in Inverrary, Argyll, Scotland, the son of Richard Graham II and Alice Hale.
He died in 1779 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
His wife was Nancy W Unknown Graham, who he married in 1739 in Ireland or Scotland. Their only known child was William Alexander (<1746-1818).

Note 1
Removed as a clan from the Borders of Scotland and sent on garrison to Ulster. Relocated to PA about 1748 but looked for cheaper land in NC in 1767, (Fowlkes p 9: lived in Ulster Province, Ireland; moved to PA)
