Hannah Braddock, daughter of Elizabeth (née Hancock) and Robert Braddock, was born April 1713 in Evesham Township, Burlington County, Province of New Jersey. Hannah's father had immigrated to America in 1702; her mother was born in Evesham. Hannah Braddock and John Painter were married on 9 June 1735 in New Jersey. Both were then residents of Evesham, and John Painter was a yeoman, the owner of a small farm.
The couple is known to have had seven children, all born in Burlington County--Sarah Painter Humbert, John Painter, Robert Painter, Thomas Painter, Jane Painter Branson, Hannah Painter Hains Antrim Babb, Isaac Painter. Robert Braddock's 1714 will (Burlington Co.) named his wife Elizabeth, and children Robert, Rachel, and Hannah.
