Kenneth (Ken) James Jackson passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016. Ken touched many lives with his sincerity, love and dedication both at home and at work.

Ken was born Sept. 9, 1953, to James H. Jackson, Jr. and Genacile Shaha Jackson in Clayton, New Mexico. He graduated from Clayton High School in 1971 and attended undergraduate school at the University of New Mexico. Upon his graduation from there he attended the University of California at Berkley where he received his doctorate degree. He became an employee of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and has been with them for over thirty years.

Ken is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, SumYee Christine Jackson, his son James Ginn Jackson, a daughter Kathryn SumYee Jackson; two sisters Marcia Gardner and husband Joe, and Cynthia Green and husband Steve. He is also survived by his mother-in-law So, Chi and sister-in-law Kit Cho and husband Eric. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; Kim Grubbs and husband Daniel, Travis Gardner, Garrett Green, Denise Green, Alicia Cho, and Clarice Cho. He is also survived by an aunt, Betty Polk as well as many numerous cousins, close friends and colleagues.

Graveside services will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Livermore on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 11:00am.
