Martin Seidner performed Patriotic Service in Maryland in the American Revolution

Martin Leibnitz Seidner was born 25 July 1733 in Strausberg, Markisch-Oderland, Brandenburg, Germany. He married Margaretha Mira Schotte in Germany in 1753, then immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1754. Martin died in Kentucky 1 April 1806. He had 14 children.

According to Catherine Seidner Kring: Martin and his brother Michael arrived in Philadelphia Oct 1st 1754 on the passenger ship Phoenix. One brother died enroute to America name unknown - (Could have been Philip) - With his sons Christopher and Frederick they took the Oath of Fidelity and Support and became recognized Patriots of the Revolutionary War.
