Frances (“Fannie”) Graves (37) was born about 1803 in NC, and died after 1870.  She married Michael Luther, son of Jacob J. Luther and Sarah Linton, on 13 Jan. 1825 in Randolph Co., NC.  Leonard Graves, Sr. was the bondsman and Thomas Hancock was the witness; her name was spelled Phanney on the marriage certificate.  He was born 27 Oct. 1804 in NC, and also died after 1870.  This family was recorded on the 1830-1850 censuses in Randolph Co., NC, the 1860 census in Sampson Co., NC, and the 1870 census in Boone Co., IA.  Michael was recorded on the censuses as a blacksmith, an occupation some of his sons continued.  Their children were born in NC.  (R‑59)
