Partner with Phipps in a small town, Lafayette.

Tanned leather and made shoes. Son Alex went west, got sick and father and brother set out to see the new land and decided to stay in Arkansas. Settled in Atlanta, near old Austin, Lonoke, Arkansas. 1861: moved to a beautiful valley south of the foothills of the Ozarks known as Pleasant Valley later Naylor.

Could have been married to Margaret Boid on Dec 183 in Hall County, GA
